Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) had to accept the impact of the strike the workers who worked at the factory Toyota parts suppliers in China. Workers at the factory plastic TMC affiliate, Toyoda Gosei Co., in Tianjin, went on strike on Thursday (17 / 6).

“This incident affects the production halt in the afternoon,” explained Tomotaka Ito, a spokesman for Toyoda Gosei, at TMC headquarters Aichi, Japan.

A day earlier, another unit of Toyoda Gosei namely Tianjin Star Light Rubber was also hit by the demonstration of its workers. Toyoda Gosei finally approved the improvement of wages to 800 workers. Toyoda Gosei is currently still conducting negotiations over wage increases demand for the plastic factory workers and there has been no confirmation of when the plant became active again.

A similar incident was experienced by Honda Motor Corporation (HMC) some time ago, they had to temporarily stop production. The supplier of components for the HMC is experiencing problems due to worker strikes. This problem was successfully resolved after the producers agreed to increase wages of the workers.
